A Florida native, Mary’s career started in NYC in 2013 with a legacy Rails application for the processing and distribution of videos for one of YouTube’s largest content providers (at that time). After three years of big city life, Mary returned to Florida to be closer to family. She dipped her toes in financing and logistics applications, gaining experience in credit reporting, document generation and signing, and large scale api integrations before joining the Hashrocket team in 2017.

During her tenure at Hashrocket, Mary gained experience in new languages, including React and React Native, while honing her Rails and Postgres skills further. She runs the Hashrocket YouTube channel, PGCasts, and has spoken at Brighton Ruby.

When she isn’t working, she’s going on adventures with her dog, crocheting, or building apps to solve her daily problems.
