  • MSN Music International

    MSN Music International

Hashrocket helped Cyloop rewrite a legacy, Java-based implementation of this site. The original had taken over 2 years to develop and suffered scalability issues that really limited Cyloop's potential to fulfill worldwide expansion plans. Our reimplementation of the site in Ruby on Rails took 3 months from inception to major consumer launch and improved all aspects of the user experience, implemented easy internationalization, and most notably, drastic improvements to scalability. Cyloop's cluster on Engine Yard now serves up millions of pageviews daily, to over a dozen region-specific sites around the world.

  • Coolworks

    Coolworks

Cool Works® is about you finding a seasonal job or career in some of the greatest places on Earth. Hashrocket handled all aspects of the implementation of this large, complex web application, over the course of over 4 months. The primary client developer for this project spent close to 8 weeks living at the beach and co-working with the Hashrocket team, both for guidance and to receive expert training in Rails so that he could take over maintenance duties when we disengaged.

  • CityCliq

    CityCliq

CityCliq is an enhanced Yellow Pages listing site which allows small business owners around the country to more directly interact with their existing customers and reach their potential target market. CityCliq is Hashrocket's longest-standing client, pre-dating the existence of the company itself (and the origin of our original team, consisting of Obie, Lark, Desi and "Big Tiger" Remsik).

  • Matchless Music

    Matchless Music

Matchless Music is a collective of musicians and sound designers whose music is available for commercial licensing. The site helps emerging artists get heard by licensing their music to producers of advertising, television, film, video games, the web and more. In return, creative professionals get a broad range of distinct, independent music to use in their projects. It is not a site full of cliché material churned out by factory musicians. Only unique music played and performed by independent musicians for the sheer love of it is ever served up.

When asked about her experience with Hashrocket, CEO Kate Hiscox offered the following:

"Working with Hashrocket proved a revelation on multiple levels. They worked hard to understand our business and objectives but in turn made sure we understood their process, introducing us to agile development. They were a great team to work with and brought solid ideas and enthusiasm to the task at hand. The quality of work exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dedicated and talented team. Outstanding!"

  • Spot.Us

    Spot.Us

Spot.Us is a nonprofit project of the Center for Media Change. We are an open source project hoping to pioneer “community funded reporting.” Through Spot.Us the public can commission journalists to do investigations on important and, perhaps, overlooked stories. All donations are tax deductible and if a news organization buys exclusive rights to the content, your donation will be reimbursed. Otherwise, all content is made available to all through a Creative Commons license. It’s a marketplace where independent reporters, community members and news organizations can come together and collaborate.

  • Taigan

    Taigan

Hashrocket took Taigan from a gleam in the founder's eye to a fully-featured ecommerce and concierge solution for the most exclusive boutiques and specialty shops in the world. Over the course of a year, we worked hand in hand with Taigan staff to implement complex administrative functionality, including a video system that enables shopkeepers to showcase their items on a regular basis, with ease. As Taigan's exclusive technology partner, Hashrocket will continue to help the promising startup take its place among the jewels of Nashville's thriving entrepreneurial community.

  • BarbadosLand

    BarbadosLand

Barbadosland.com is a new real estate web site that features land for sale in Barbados and keeps statistics on land sales for use by visitors researching real estate purchases in Barbados. This project was executed as a 3-2-1 Launch, with Durran being the lucky Rocketeer chosen to fly to the Caribbean to perform storycarding duties in Barbados. A two-tier, service-oriented architecture was chosen to maximize flexibility for future growth of the client's real estated-related network of sites.
